Senior Backend Python Developer for AI Engineering Full-time

AI Engineering goal is to deliver a modern infrastructure and solutions to enhance Mobileye’s Algorithm development life cycle and shorten our delivery times. We are an independent group, consisting of excellent and experienced engineers with diverse skills in algorithms, software, and infrastructure.We strive to implement a DevOps culture allowing our engineers to easily collaborate on large-scale products. We develop cross-company products that enable the research and deployment of state-of-the-art algorithms.

We are looking for a talented Backend Developer with experience working with big data systems and optimizing data for ML use cases.

What will you do?

• Work on Spark workflows that create data optimized for training ML models
• Customize open-source libraries (eg Polars)to work efficiently with data at Mobileye scale
• Create a data management layer, to manage data created using our tools
• Support users with using our tools/platform and onboard new users

All you need is:

• At least 2 years of experience as a software engineer
• Proficient in Python (Rust, advantage)
• Write tests as part of normal development flow.
• Experienced with containers and previously worked in a Kubernetes environment.
• Experienced with Agile & DevOps methodologies.
• Familiar with Spark, or other distributed data engines.
• Worked with big data and optimized data workflows

Advantage:

• Practiced in TDD
• Contributed to open-source projects
• Familiar with public cloud, like: AWS or GCP
• Familiar with Parquet format and PyArrow
• Familiar with Infra-as-Code tools, like: Terraform
