Senior Back-End Developer – Generative AI Full-time

About this position:

As a Senior Back-End Developer, you will design, create, test, and build back-end solutions for AI Tools. Creativity and self-motivation are essential for this role.

We are a team of experts leveraging AI to provide tools for Aptiv engineers. With teams working across the globe, we create and deliver solutions that utilize Gen AI technologies. We are looking for a talented Senior Back-End Developer to work on our suite of AI-powered tools.

Your role:

• Design and develop scalable back-end systems for Aptiv AI Products
• Collaborate with Front-end developers, Data Scientists, Machine Learning Scientists, and other team members
• Write and test product development code
• Participate in, or lead design reviews with team and stakeholders
• Work as a developer of a globally distributed team.
• Review code and provide constructive feedback to ensure best practices
• Write and review technical documents

Your Background:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Proven experience as a Back-end Engineer with a focus on Python
• Experience with frameworks such as Django or Flask
• Experience with AWS and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with software design, and architecture
• Experience in building RESTful API
• Experience with starting projects from scratch, and production delivery
• Have a hands-on mentality, and independence, and take ownership of the product
• Experience in writing unit tests
• Experience with Git, build tools, and CI/CD workflow

• Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools
• Knowledge of gRCP and protobuf
• Experience working with large data sets
• Experience with building products from scratch, and launching them into production
• Experience with the agile software development process
• Having a product mindset
• Certifications in relevant technologies
