What You Would Do In This Role

We are looking for a highly motivated and passionate leader who can work with the practice leader to take it to the next level. As a senior member of the team, your role will focus on providing world class insights to leaders and stakeholders in the energy industry and help solve some of the most complex problem statements in the industry.

Responsibilities:

1. Client Engagement and Relationship Management:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients in the energy, oil, and gas sector, serving as a trusted advisor and strategic partner.
• Lead client engagements from inception to delivery, defining project scope, objectives, and success criteria, and ensuring alignment with client expectations and business goals.

2. Strategic Leadership and Business Development:

• Provide strategic direction and leadership for the Data Science, Data Management and Cloud Architecture practice within the Energy sector, driving business growth and market expansion.
• Identify new business opportunities, develop client proposals, and lead sales pursuits, leveraging industry knowledge and expertise to drive revenue growth and market share.

3. Team Leadership and Talent Development:

• Lead and mentor a team of data scientists, data and solution architects, ML engineers and consultants, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities to maximize team performance and growth.
• Foster and preserve a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence within the team and across larger Accenture ecosystem, promoting knowledge sharing, continuous learning, and best practices.

4. Solution Design and Delivery:

• Lead the design and implementation of end to end cutting-edge industrial AI solutions for clients in the energy industry, leveraging Gen AI, classical AI, edge analytics, data supply chain and cloud technologies.
• Drive innovation and thought leadership in data-driven strategies, identifying opportunities to apply emerging technologies and methodologies to solve complex business challenges and use cases of the industry.

5. Thought Leadership and Industry Engagement:

• Represent Accenture Consulting as a thought leader in the Energy sector, participating in industry conferences, forums, and events, and contributing to whitepapers, publications, and speaking engagements.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies in data science, analytics, and cloud computing, and share insights and best practices with clients and colleagues.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 16 years of core experience in data science, analytics, data management and cloud architecture with at least 7+ years of consulting roles within the energy/ oil and gas industries.
• Proven track record of success in client engagement, business development, and team leadership, with strong relationship-building and communication skills.
• Deep expertise in data science techniques and methodologies, including Generative AI, machine learning, predictive modeling, and statistical analysis, optimization, with proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Scala.
• Extensive experience in cloud architecture and deployment of data and AI solutions on them, with hands-on expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI and familiarity with cloud services, infrastructure, and security best practices.
• Expertise in scaling data and AI solutions by building end to end pipelines with MLOps, DataOps, XOps frameworks.
• Experience in solutioning and delivering end to end production grade solutions with Generative AI is a strong plus.
• Strong strategic and analytical capabilities, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions, drive innovation, and deliver tangible business outcomes.
• Excellent leadership and people management skills, with a proven ability to inspire, motivate, and develop high-performing teams.
• Relevant certifications in data science, cloud computing, or related fields (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Professional Data Engineer etc.) preferred.
