What you would do in this role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Visualization & Interactions Science Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in data visualization, human-computer interaction, and user experience design, with a passion for leveraging data-driven insights to create impactful visualizations and interactive experiences for business.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with CG&S clients and stakeholders to understand business requirements and user needs and translate them into effective user journey with impactful visualization and interaction design solutions.
• Provide consultation and guidance to internal stakeholders on visualization and interaction design principles, tools, and techniques.
• Run codesign sessions and develop interactive data visualizations and dashboards using industry-leading tools and technologies, such as Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, PowerApps, Power Automate, React JS, D3.js etc
• Conduct user research, usability testing, and user feedback analysis to iteratively improve the usability and effectiveness of visualization products.
• Apply principles of data storytelling and narrative visualization to create compelling and informative data-driven stories.

• Stay abreast of emerging trends and best practices in data visualization, human-computer interaction, and user experience design, and share insights and recommendations with the team.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and engineers to integrate visualizations into data-driven applications and products.
• Contribute to thought leadership and knowledge sharing initiatives within the organization, such as blog posts, whitepapers, and presentations.

Who we are looking for?

• Minimum of 3 to 7 years of experience in data visualization, interaction design, or related roles, with a strong portfolio showcasing relevant projects and accomplishments.
• The candidate should be experienced in dealing with CG&S data (Nielsen, EPOS, IRI, Kantar, Euromonitor, Manufacturer or retailer P&L – financials, SAP, Sales & operations, Demographics, Trade promotion planner etc.) & functions (such as Customer Experience, Marketing and Promotions, Store Planning, Supply Chain and Logistics, and trade promotions, salesforce etc.) driven through AI.
• Proficiency in Visual storytelling with BI & Visualization Tools (Tableau, Spotfire, Power BI, Cognos, Business Objects etc.).
• Advanced Excel skills including VBA and PowerPoint skills.
• Consulting skills experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts and insights to diverse audiences.
• Experience working in an agile environment and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Experience and exposure to developing cloud solutions on AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, PowerApps, Power Automate, React JS, Advanced Excel, and PowerPoint.
• A Statistics/Mathematics degree or MBA from a premier Business-school is a plus.
