About the team:

Our international team of Product experts, Engineers, Data Scientists and Architects is part of the Business AI Innovation Frontrunners Unit. We evaluate new AI technologies and frameworks together with tech and application teams. We solve real business problems for SAP customers by contributing initial products/features to our LoBs.

We enjoy getting our hands dirty with code, expanding our horizon with business problems and technical challenges across SAP’s LoB portfolio. We have fun collaborating inside and across team boundaries, working with agile methods and believe in an open feedback culture continuously improving our working mode, processes and tools.

What you’ll do:

Position title: SAP Business AI Innovation Frontrunners iXp Intern – AI Developer
Work Area: Software-Design and Development
Location: Walldorf

Expected start date: April 01, 2025

In this role, you’ll:

• Collect hands-on experience with SAP’s AI stack
• Investigate how to solve business tasks from SAP’s Lines of Business products with agentic AI patterns
• Design and optimize LLM prompts to reliably generate the desired outcomes
• Acquire and pre-process data from business backend systems for optimized processing by AI agents

Who you are:

You are a student (f/m/d) at a university or a university of applied sciences with a data science or computer science background. We’re looking for someone who takes initiative, perseveres, and stays curious. You like to work on meaningful innovative projects and are energized by lifelong learning.

Candidates for this internship should fulfill the following characteristics:

• You are fluent in English and German
• You bring a basic understanding of generative AI models and their application
• Ideally, you also have first hands-on experience from your studies or projects around LLM prompting and technical integration (e.g. API consumption via python/Jupyter notebooks)
