Remote Software Engineering Consultant for AI Training (Norwegian) Full-time

Outlier helps the world’s most innovative companies improve their AI models by providing human feedback. Are you an experienced software engineer who would like to lend your coding expertise to train AI models?

We partner with organizations to train AI large language models, helping cutting-edge generative AI models write better code. Projects typically include discrete, highly variable problems that involve engaging with these models as they learn to code. There is no requirement for previous AI experience.

About the opportunity:

• Outlier is looking for talented software engineers (full-stack, back-end, end-to-end developers) to help train generative artificial intelligence models by collaborating with them on solving real world engineering problems
• This freelance opportunity is remote and hours are flexible, so you can work whenever is best for you but we are looking for 40-hours of work per week
• You will work cutting edge GenAi models and push the boundaries of current LLM capabilities

You may contribute your expertise by…

• Crafting and answering questions related to computer science & software engineering in order to help train AI models
• Evaluating and ranking code generated by AI models
• Co-piloting with an AI model while creating, debugging, and improving production level code

Desired qualifications for role:

• Ability to articulate complex concepts fluently in Norwegian (required)
• Proficiency working with two or more of the the following languages: Java, Python, JavaScript / TypeScript, C++, Swift, or Verilog
• 3+ years of experience in software development / engineering ideally at a fast paced tech company with high coding standards

Payment:

• Pay for this role is $50 USD per hour
• We are seeking consultants who are willing to work 40-hours per week on AI training projects
