The Program Head of the Prudential Corporate AI Lab and Incubator will be responsible for the day-to-day operations, management, and success of the AI Lab’s initiatives. The role requires strong program management skills, the ability to engage with various stakeholders, and a deep understanding of innovation management, venture and AI product development. The Program Lead will ensure the successful execution of the structured AI product incubation program, support experimentation execution, and facilitate collaboration between internal and external teams to drive the development of cutting-edge AI solutions and products graduation the incubation.

Job Description: Program Head, Prudential Corporate AI Lab and Incubator

Position Overview:

The Program Lead of the Prudential Corporate AI Lab and Incubator will be responsible for the day-to-day operations, management, and success of the AI Lab’s initiatives. The role requires strong program management skills, the ability to engage with various stakeholders, and a deep understanding of innovation management, venture and AI product development. The Program Lead will ensure the successful execution of the structured AI product incubation program, support experimentation execution, and facilitate collaboration between internal and external teams to drive the development of cutting-edge AI solutions and products graduation the incubation.

Key Responsibilities:

AI Lab Operations and Management

• Oversee the daily operations of the AI Lab and AI Product incubation program
• Develop and implement processes and procedures to ensure smooth functioning of the Lab
• Manage the Lab’s budget, resources, and infrastructure
• Coordinate with the Tech Lead to enable and align the Lab’s activities with Prudential’s AI Lab strategy

Structured AI Product Incubation Program

• Drive the execution and success of the structured AI product incubation program
• Work closely with internal teams and external partners to identify and prioritize AI product opportunities
• Manage the product development lifecycle, from problem statement sourcing, through ideation to MVP and eventual Pilot deployment
• Monitor and report on the progress and success metrics of incubated AI products

Experimentation Management

• Oversee the AI Lab’s experimentation efforts, ensuring they align with Prudential’s strategic goals
• Facilitate collaboration between internal teams and external partners to drive AI experimentation.
• Manage the process of translating experimental results into actionable insights and product ideas that can be taken up by the AI lab or other teams
• Communicate the outcomes and learnings from experiments to relevant stakeholders

Stakeholder Management and Alignment

• Engage and align with stakeholders across Prudential Group, Prudential LBUs external partners, and the wider AI ecosystem
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure the AI Lab’s success
• Communicate the AI Lab’s progress, challenges, and achievements to stakeholders regularly
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for AI product development and experimentation

Team Engagement and Management

• Manage partner resources responsible for AI Lab programming.
• Provide support and guidance to the teams participating in the AI Lab incubation program
• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within the AI Lab
• Manage the performance and development of the AI Lab’s team
• Coordinate with the Tech Lead to ensure seamless integration of technical and non-technical aspects of the Lab
• Coordinate with the ecosystem lead to drive development and ecosystem management

Events Management

• Plan and execute in collaboration with partners events related to the AI Lab operations e.g. such as workshops, seminars, and hackathons
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to organize events that showcase Prudential’s AI capabilities
• Manage event logistics, budgets, and resources to ensure successful outcomes

Communication and Promotion

• Develop and implement a communication strategy to promote the AI Lab’s activities and achievements
• Create content for internal and external audiences, showcasing the AI Lab’s impact and thought leadership
• Represent the AI Lab at industry events, conferences, and meetings
• Collaborate with Prudential’s marketing and communications teams to align messaging and branding

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Management, or a related field
• Proven experience (7+ years) in program with hands on experience in innovation management, venture building, preferably in an AI or technology-driven environment
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Experience in managing and mentoring teams
• Familiarity with Technology, FinTech or AI product development lifecycles and best practices
• Ability to translate and bridge the gap between technical concepts and business-relevant insights
• Passion for innovation and a drive to position Prudential at the forefront of AI in the insurance industry
