Role:

As a Principal Software Engineer in the Artificial Intelligence group, you will be responsible for developing the core AI/ML capabilities to power the entire Splunk product portfolio and help our customers to drive their journey to digital resiliency. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor junior team members, and help drive the engineering roadmap of the area.
Responsibilities:

The responsibilities of this role include:

• Lead the development of the AI/ML capabilities that drive our product’s key use cases in the cybersecurity and observability domains.
• Collaborate closely with software engineers, applied scientists, and product managers to integrate generative AI solutions into our products and services.
• Stay up to date with the latest developments in the field of AI/ML, and ensure that these advancements are properly incorporated into our technology roadmap.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members to ensure the development of their skills.
• Actively participate in cross-functional discussions and strategic decisions related to AI directions and product roadmaps.

Requirements:

• Full Stack Development & AI Systems: Led the development of large-scale ML/AI systems, integrating full stack development practices to create robust, scalable, and efficient solutions.
• AI Research to Production: Successfully transitioned AI research projects into production environments, ensuring the seamless deployment and operation of complex AI systems.
• Technical Expertise: Leveraged a strong background in Computer Science or Engineering, supported by 8+ years of industry experience, to drive innovation and deliver high-quality technical solutions.
• Containerization & Orchestration: Utilized containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes to enhance the scalability and reliability of AI systems.
• Cloud & Serverless Architecture: Implemented and optimized solutions on leading cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and adopted serverless architectures to improve system efficiency and reduce operational overhead.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Worked closely with cross-functional teams, including applied scientists, to ensure alignment and drive the successful integration of AI technologies into broader business strategies.
• Problem-Solving & Troubleshooting: Demonstrated excellent problem-solving skills, effectively troubleshooting complex technical issues to maintain system stability and performance.
• Communication & Stakeholder Engagement: Articulated complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences, ensuring clear communication and fostering collaboration across diverse teams.

Base Pay Range

India

Base Pay: INR 4,800,000.00 – 6,600,000.00 per year
