What you’ll achieve
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Software Engineer with expertise in Machine Learning to join the Data Science team within the Cloud Infrastructure Services organization, responsible for managing Dell’s on Prem datacenters. We find ways to effectively utilize our infrastructure resources, explore new ways of AI & ML utilization to improve and optimize. You will play a key role in building AI solutions to help modernize our infrastructure and leverage new Generative AI technologies.

You will:

• Be responsible for designing and implementing AI solutions that meet the needs of the Cloud Infrastructure Services organization.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into scalable and efficient software systems.
• Develop and implement Machine Learning models and algorithms to improve our infrastructure capacity planning processes.
• Make use of on prem data science platform to enable Generative AI solutions.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, sharing your expertise and best practices. Cultivate a culture of documentation & transparency.

Essential Requirements

• 3+ years working on Machine Learning development experience & 5+ years of total software development experience.
• Proven track record of taking projects from inception to production deployments.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Javascript, Go, and in building CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with Machine Learning algorithms, techniques, and frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).

Desirable Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Article publications and citations especially in the field of machine learning & artificial intelligence and experience with software patents and patent applications
