Principal AI/ML Consultant (Semiconductor) Full-time

The client wants to create an AI roadmap and need a senior consultant who can help him do that. This person needs to have deep knowledge in AI/ML in the semiconductor/Hi-tech manufacturing space. The department we are speaking to is the engineering department (not to be confused with IT engineering). These engineers use CAD models and XD and XD models for semiconductor equipment design. They want to see how AI can be used to automate some of their processes and tasks.

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Consultant/CTO with a robust background in capital equipment manufacturing, preferably from HITech/ Semiconductor industry and strong AI/ML skills to join our team. This individual will play a critical role in interfacing at SVP/VP/CTO/Sr. Director/Director engineering/IT levels and will be responsible for creating an AI implementation roadmap for engineering organization, ensuring alignment with the company-wide AI/ML roadmap.

Key Responsibilities

• AI Implementation Roadmap: Develop and manage a detailed AI implementation roadmap tailored to the needs of engineering organization, ensuring it aligns with the overarching company AI/ML strategy.
• Technical Leadership: Provide expert technical guidance on capital equipment manufacturing/ HiTech/ semiconductor engineering technologies and AI/ML applications, influencing strategic decisions and driving innovation.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Interface with senior leadership, including CXOs, to understand business objectives and translate them into actionable AI/ML initiatives.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with diverse teams across the organization to integrate AI/ML technologies seamlessly into existing workflows and systems.
• Compliance and Governance: Ensure all AI/ML projects adhere to internal policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Education: Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Experience: Minimum of XX years of experience in the hitech manufacturing/semiconductor industry with a focus on AI/ML technologies.
• Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of semiconductor processes, AI/ML frameworks, and algorithm development.
• Leadership Skills: Proven track record of leading complex projects and teams, with the ability to influence and drive consensus at the executive level.
• Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities, capable of articulating complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Problem-solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving technical issues.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a consulting environment.
• Familiarity with emerging technologies and trends in AI/ML, hitech manufacturing semiconductors.
• Published research or contributions to the field of AI/ML hitech/industrial manufacturings emiconductors.

Technical Knowledge:

• CAD/CAM, PLM, Catia, Solidworks, XD/XD engineering design
• Process Control and Monitoring: Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC), metrology, and yield improvement techniques.
• Equipment and Tooling: Knowledge of various semiconductor manufacturing equipment, including wafer fabrication tools, metrology tools, and test equipment.
• Failure Analysis and Root Cause AnalysisBusiness Acumen:
• Market Dynamics: Understanding of semiconductor market trends, supply chain dynamics, and customer needs.
