[PERM] Project Manager in gen AI field Full-time

Job Description

Oversee the budget, schedule, and quality of cutting-edge AI development projects for a new tech business in Japan that is developing ground-breaking chatbot technologies.

Roles/Responsibilities

• In projects involving the development of AI and chatbots, manage development process quality control, progress management, budget management, etc.
• Identifying, visualizing, and addressing issues with development projects.
• Document management, coordination, and negotiation for every stage of the project.
• Man-hour and revenue/expense control for every project and the division as a whole.
• Occasionally, the role will also involve visiting clients to conduct demos, presentations, and negotiations.
• Arrange customer requests and present ideas based upon their unique requirements.
• Establishing objectives and defining the project’s scope as part of the project’s grand design
• creation of development specifications and tangible suggestions in coordination with business division and technical staff.

Required skills

• Over 4 years of experience in project management.
• Experience in budgeting and financial management.
• Strong skills in task prioritization and time management.
• Proficiency in using project management tools such as JIRA, Notion.
• Excellent communication skills in Japanese (JLPT N1 or native level).
• Ability to analyze and visualize project data.
• Experience in client facing role, handling client negotiations and requirement gathering.
• Understanding of AI (LLM, NLP) and software development processes (Agile, Waterfall).

Preferred skills

• Knowledge and experience in web application development
• Knowledge/experience with Python, TypeScript, Vue.js, Nuxt.js a plus
• Experience in machine learning related development
• Experience working using English
