Roles/Responsibilities

• Utilize client and proprietary laser scanners to acquire point cloud data, perform semantic segmentation, and remove noise.
• Research and develop solutions using statistical and machine learning methods to address client challenges.
• Investigate specific methods and implement solutions for various business needs.
• Collaborate with business team members to drive project success.

Required skills

• Experience in object detection and segmentation of point clouds.
• Hands-on experience with machine learning: 3+ years.
• Proficiency in development tools like GitHub.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Ability to explain complex machine learning methods to clients and business members.
• Fluency in Japanese (fluent or N1 level or similar).
• Ability to conduct research using English-language sources.

Preferred skills

• Broad knowledge of statistical methods and machine learning beyond deep learning.
• Experience with 3D data other than point clouds.
• Proficiency in C programming language.
• Conversational English skills, including technical vocabulary.
