• Experience research: Conduct literature reviews and stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in Uncertainty Quantification for Deep Learning and Trustworthy AI
• Focus on the future: Research and develop novel deep learning techniques for uncertainty quantification in sensor applications
• Take responsibility: Implement and evaluate state-of-the-art methods for uncertainty estimation, such as Evidential Deep Learning
• Lifelong learning: Apply these techniques to real-world sensor data, from sensors like FMCW Radars or MEMS Microphones
• Convince with words: Document and finalize thesis and code

• Study field: You bring a strong academic record with good grades in a relevant field, such as Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or related disciplines
• Experience: You have practical experience in machine learning, with a focus on deep learning methods and with deep learning frameworks like Tensorflow or PyTorch
• Focus: In your studies you have aquired a solid background in probability theory and statistics
• Interests: You have a solid understanding of signal processing techniques
• As a plus: You already have first experience with sensor applications, such as image, audio or radar processing
• Personality: Strong problem-solving abilities and the capability to analyze complex sensor datasets
• Way of work: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
• Language skills: You fluently speak English
