You can embark on an exciting journey with PwC’s Digital Audit Business Unit as we launch the Generative AI Pod, a dynamic and innovative space dedicated to reshaping the future of audits through ground-breaking AI and Machine Learning technologies. Our startup-minded team aims to revolutionise auditing, collaborating closely with Audit Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to drive innovation and advancements in how responsible AI can shape the future of Audit.

We are looking for someone to join our team in a Manager role for a 3-month secondment, with a start date between December 2024 and March 2025

What We Do

At the GenAI Lab, we’re pushing the boundaries of what’s possible. Join us to: Engineer scalable natural language models empowering Auditors to efficiently analyse extensive document sets. Automate audit processes through the application of AI, enhancing the identification of key risk indicators, patterns, and anomalies, ultimately elevating the precision and effectiveness of audit assessments. Scale out natural language processing models to identify and make predictions over vast datasets.

The Role

As a Manager in our GenAI Lab start-up, you will provide leadership in advising technologists on areas of complex or judgmental audit topics.

This involves identifying potential issues, conducting in-depth data analysis, and articulating findings in a straightforward manner to individuals without Audit experience.

You will perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT) on results generated by new assets developed within the Lab, ensuring alignment with audit standards and optimising the integration of AI-driven insights.

Play a pivotal role in triaging ideas submitted to the GenAI Lab, evaluating them based on their potential for efficiency and quality gains.

Your expertise will contribute to the prioritisation of projects that align with the strategic objectives of the Audit Line of Service

Core Skills

In our team, the following are core skills for an Audit SME:

• Be a Chartered Accountant / ACA / ACCA / ICAS qualified accountant (or international equivalent) or have equivalent work experience in Audit (including international candidates who technically qualify in their home country by experience).
• Demonstrate a keen enthusiasm for technology coupled with a proactive commitment to continuous learning.
• Experience of IFRS and/or UK GAAP and international standards on auditing.
• Strong project management skills and experience managing projects from the start to completion.
• Ability to establish and nurture positive relationships across different Lines of Service.
• Experience encouraging a team environment that promotes collaboration and constructive challenge and has demonstrated the ability to act quickly to resolve team issues and questions
