Machine Learning Engineer Full-time

Your Role and Responsibilities

This position is in support of ML engineering executing the following tasks. The general scope of the contract is to develop an AI-enabled data management software solution that is scalable, modular, and flexible enough to meet SOF mission requirements in a wide range of environments. The solution will have the ability to ingest, store, analyze, and disseminate information from reconnaissance, surveillance, and target acquisition (RSTA) assets, robotic systems, space-based platforms, and AI/ML-generated data. In this role you will help solve real world problems and challenges faced by military personnel, analysts, medical researchers, IRS agents, and other federal customers.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Demonstrated expertise in machine learning best practices and theory
• Proficiency in Python and Javascript (2+ years)
• Experience tuning and prompt engineering large language models (2+ Years), in multi-step programs (e.g., RAG, multi-hop RAG)
• Working knowledge of machine learning frameworks such as pytorch, tensorflow, ONNX, and TensorRT (8+ Years)
• Proficiency in working with linux-based systems (8+ Years)
• Secret Clearance
• The ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance from the US Federal government

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

• Experience with LLM training, tuning, quantization and inference on low size, weight, and power compute architectures (2+ Years)
• Experience working with US Special Operations Command, United States Marine Forces Special Operations Command, or other Special Operations Forces components
• Experience working with and developing APIs for microservices

The compensation range and benefits for this position are based on a full-time schedule for a full calendar year. The salary will vary depending on your job-related skills, experience and location. Pay increment and frequency of pay will be in accordance with employment classification and applicable laws. For part time roles, your compensation and benefits will be adjusted to reflect your hours. Benefits may be pro-rated for those who start working during the calendar year.
