Major Tasks and Responsibilities

Design, build, and optimize machine learning systems leveraging techniques like supervised/unsupervised learning, deep learning, reinforcement learning, and natural language processing

Develop robust data pipelines to collect, process, and prepare data for model training

Implement algorithms and deploy machine learning models into production environments

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions

Conduct research into emerging machine learning techniques and tools to enhance our capabilities

Monitor model performance, identify areas for improvement, and iterate on solutions

Ensure data quality, model interpretability, and adherence to ethical AI principles

Value Contribution

Increased productivity of R&D and Digital R&D by completing of data preparation, data protection processing and programming tasks and, as a result, support for the objective of R&D APAC to increase the efficiency and speed of product development by time – and resource-intensive laboratory screening is replaced by computer-aided formulation development and new / alternative solutions for formulation development are found.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related technical field

3+ years of experience in machine learning engineering or a related role of Data Science

Strong programming skills in Python, along with experience using ML frameworks.

Expertise in data structures, algorithms, distributed systems, and software engineering best practices

Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP or Azure for deploying ML solutions

Knowledge of DevOps practices and containerization tools like Docker

Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills

Ability to work in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment
