Lead Machine Learning Engineer Full-time

We are seeking a talented Lead Machine Learning Engineer with advanced technical skills to join our team at EPAM Vietnam. In this role, you will collaborate with diverse teams to engineer strategic solutions that push the boundaries of traditional machine learning. Responsibilities

• Collaborate with tech consultants and business analysts to shape the product backlog and influence sprint content
• Ensure solutions align with official corporate security policies, standards and best practices
• Lead research and Proof of Concept (PoC) activities for adopting new technologies
• Clearly communicate the technical risks and benefits of solutions, making well-informed decisions
• Oversee solution development and share codebase responsibilities with the development lead
• Provide thought leadership, spearheading brainstorming sessions to craft potential solutions for identified business needs
• Meticulously review integration points, ensuring all are analyzed and documented

Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in software engineering, specializing in data and analytics
• Strong practical expertise in Python and Spark, with at least 5 years of Python and 3-4 years of Spark experience
• Demonstrated ability to implement AI and machine learning solutions, including model development and deployment
• Proficiency in big data technologies and cloud services, particularly with AWS, Hadoop and Spark
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and Airflow, and familiarity with container orchestration using Kubernetes
• Fluency in both written and spoken English (B2)

Nice to have

• Knowledge of the retail domain, especially in areas like pricing, demand forecasting and recommendations, is preferred
