Lead AI Engr – AI Portfolio Lead

Roles and Responsibilities of Position:

This role is part of Autonomy and Artificial Intelligence (AAI) Research and Technology Centre (RTC) in Applied and Advanced Technologies (AAT) India group. The person will provide technical leadership to AI portfolio on new product concepts and ideas and work collaboratively with global research team and develop innovative new products and design solutions.

Some of the work includes Advanced Concepts Development, Rapid Prototyping and Integration. Typical areas include:

• Autonomous navigation, Generative AI, Vision based Inspection, AI deployments on cloud or NVIDIA and Intel chipsets for real time inferences
• Demonstrate technical leadership in all areas of AI and end to end ownership of project from concept definition till deployment on hardware / cloud
• Collaborate/ actively network with stakeholders for new technologies/ideas incubation/information
• Be Self-Motivated in IP creation for the Product in the field of expertise.
• Look at concepts and solutions to map the right solution to customer need and Influences decisions and take it through concept to Product migration phases

• Responsible to create and execute Strategies for Autonomy and Artificial Intelligence (AAI) by working closely with Global AAT stakeholders (VPGM, Offering Manager, Program Managers) to drive technology roadmaps.
• Build compelling vision for AI portfolio and have crisp and clear communication to align diversified and experienced team members. Build differentiated capabilities (now and future) and support capacity (GSF, AOP aligned). Leverage local eco-system for speed and complimenting capabilities (universities, suppliers, startups)
• Technically lead multiple TRL Programs, Regional Programs and POCs, building continuous improvement culture with technology insertions.
• Leverage organization best practices and frameworks (Z21, HOS, Agile) as required
• Partner with Aero ADV TECH Business Development Leader to connect with regional customers (key account management) to identify new opportunities by participation in proposal development and technical bidding process
• Driving Growth through Innovation and Ideation working closely with Product Managers, PAC, GBE leaders & Co create with customers
• Ensures the Strategic Deployments Plans (SDPs) are in alignment with the functional organization strategies and practices
• Lead / coordinate with customers, suppliers, internal stakeholders, support functions and accountable to manage key deliverables

Knowledge and Skills Required

• Experience in coordinating and managing geographically distributed teams and sites.
• Effective global communication, presentation, technical leadership, teaming.
• Experience in developing, managing & executing activities with external suppliers
• Very strong work ethic; self-motivated & self-starter, ability to anticipate, identify and act on potential issues and problems.
• Strong organizational skills and flexibility to meet changing needs of the organization
• Proven track record in demonstrating customer satisfaction skills with high visibility customers

Education and Qualification Required

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (AI/Computer Science/Electrical/Electronics) in an Engineering discipline with 12+ years of experience
• 3+ years of technical leadership experience managing a portfolio with multidisciplinary teams interfacing with global teams
• Working experience in product development (full life cycle – from concept to launch)
