As part of our MCU architecture & processing IP engineering team located in Munich you will be the domain expert for guiding the organization on the path forward.

You will take a technical leadership role that transforms algorithm level explorations to embedded HW/SW solutions to be used in micro-processor products to meet emerging market needs.

Your responsibilities:

• Work with our algorithm experts and design engineers in order to define innovative IP with focus on machine learning to be integrated in the next generation of RADAR products for ADAS applications
• Develop the IP concept, write an IP specification in our requirements management system, agree the feature set with the design team and oversee the implementation for fulfilment of requirements
• Collaborate with product architects and design leads on integration concepts for the IP and to define system level data flows
• Align major target performance indicators of the IP with product requirements and define reference use cases for performance analysis and perform benchmarks for internal and customer use
• Propose and drive an IP roadmap and represent it in front of marketing and product architect team
• Drive modelling activities and implement reference models to be used for design verification and for benchmarking of customer use cases
• Provide design win support with IP benchmarks, customer presentations and by responding to customer RFI/RFQs
• Work on proposals for performance improvement, device cost optimization and reduction of power consumption
• Develop technical collateral for internal and customer use (e.g. application notes, data sheets, engineering bulletins, customer presentations)

Your profile:

Skills

• Superior expertise to translate high level requirements to IP solutions for micro-chips
• Excellent verbal and written communication skill spanning technical contributors, business stakeholders and customers
• Being able to present complex technical topics in a structured and clear fashion for an audience with different knowledge levels
• Collaborate seamlessly within and across distributed teams on next generation devices and accelerators
• Comfortable working with the variance and ambiguity inherent in implementing new technologies
• Professional working proficiency in English
• German language is a plus
• Willingness to travel worldwide

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in semiconductor design/verification or systems engineering domain
• Deep understanding of machine learning approaches and the tooling and languages used for mapping of machine learning networks on design IP
• Ideally prior experience with RADAR sensor systems in the automotive domain
• Solid expertise working with MATLAB and C++ programming languages
• Profound knowledge of IP modelling and embedded HW/SW co-design
• Familiar with requirements documentation systems such as Doors
• Background of developing functional safety applications beneficial

Education

• Master or Bachelor degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or similar required with an advanced degree
