Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to gain vocational experience through a temporary work placement (9 months). Each day, you will acquire knowledge by performing tasks as directed. You will also showcase your expertise by supporting ABB’s operations and enhancing personal education/employment opportunities. In this role, you join our Robotic Systems Team as a Robotic Systems Test Engineer Intern and you will contribute to validating and testing our core technology running on machines that solve real-world tasks. You will work hands-on with robots, develop and execute tests of our tech stack on various platforms, while helping improve our test and automation pipeline. You will be working closely with the development teams to help troubleshoot and debug product issues that you find. The work model for the role is: on-site {Linkedin #on-site} This role is contributing to the Robotic Systems Team at Sevensense in Zurich, Switzerland. You will be mainly accountable for: • Conducting system integration and field testing of our products on various internal or customer robotic platforms, in order to improve robustness and detect unknown issues • Developing a simulation to validate our software in realistic logistics applications • Developing new tests in Python/C++ to improve our test coverage • Supporting the development teams with data collection, setting up robots, and other technical challenges • Suggesting improvements and developing tools that enable the validation and continuous evaluation of our products Our team dynamics You have the unique opportunity to join a young and agile company which is part of ABB Switzerland.
