The Power Conversion Technology Laboratory within Huawei’s Nuremberg Research Center is responsible for Advanced Digital Power Technology Research, Architecture Evolution Design and Strategic Technology Planning, and plays an important role in the Huawei Digital Power business in the design and development of power converters and control systems for applications such as PV Solar & Battery Energy Storage Field, Data Centers, Electric Vehicle, and Embedded Power Supply.

You will be part of the HUAWEI Energy R&D Competence Center in Nuremberg.

Now we are looking for a:

Intern/Master Thesis for AI in Battery Storage Systems (m/f/d)

Responsibilities

• Collecting, harmonizing, and analyzing Battery and related data from heterogenous sources
• Designing, developing and evaluating Machine Learning models such as Battery Safety, Health and State of Charge Monitoring
• Creating datasets, benchmarks, and libraries
• Improvement of the design, implementation, and integration with other tools
• Publications on top conferences are encouraged

Requirements

• Enrolled-in or completed a Master in Computer Science, IT, or another related discipline
• Knowledge and experience of Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Timeseries, and Data Engineering, and Big Data Analysis
• Good programming experience in Python, Pandas, Scikit-learn and TensorFlow/Pytorch
• Interest in solving challenging problems, self-driven for independent and goal-oriented research.
• Fluent in written and spoken English (working language). Good communication skills and multicultural environment adaptability.
• Knowledge of Batteries and Electric Energy Storage Systems will be a plus
