Huawei Munich Research Center (MRC) is looking for an internship student in the topic of Machine Learning for Wireless Communications. Artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) are the strong candidates to be integrated as the native components for beyond 5G wireless communication systems. In particular, generative models shows high potentials to outperform the prior art methods in the context of wireless sensing and non-linear signal processing. As an Internship student in Wireless Terminal Chipset Technology Lab at MRC you will explore the latest AI paradigms to optimize the digital signal processing algorithms for wireless communications.

Intern in Machine Learning for Wireless Communications (m/f/d)

Your mission

• Transform a high-level API (Keras) based AI model into a Computation-Graph based AI model.
• Program the Python scripts for automating the model generation and model testing.
• Customize the neural network design by exploring the domain knowledge to improve the performance.

Your areas of expertise

• University student pursuing a Master degree or a Diploma degree, in the subject of Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Control Engineering or Mathematics.
• Fluent with Python programming.
• Highly interested in innovative solutions and technologies in wireless communications and/or artificial intelligence. Self-motivated and results-oriented work style.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Preferred additional qualifications:

• Good academic transcripts from the study.
• Hands-on experience on programming with AI frameworks such as Pytorch or Tensorflow is an advantage.
• Good Knowledge about linear algebra array signal processing is an advantage.
