About this opportunity:
For the next generation of wireless communication, new application cases considering to introduce AI/ML to improve system performance and enable the network intelligentization, AI computing capability is started to be introduced, in another hand AI computing will make the communication devices much more complexity than before.

What you will do:
• Derive, simulate, and analyze the channel decoding performance for different MCS (Modulation Coding Scheme) combinations specified in 3GPP standards for 5G NR.
• Assess existing AI/ML algorithms’ and/or networks’ performance for LDPC decoder and/or other decoders.
• Design, evaluate, validate, and optimize the implementation architecture for learning based LDPC decoders and/or other decoders.
• FPGA logic design in 5G radio base station
• FPGA logic resource and power, timing optimization

The skills you bring:
• Master’s degree or above from top universities, major in Signal & Information Processing, Communication Engineering, Electronic Engineering or equivalent
• Good knowledge of wireless communication physical layer modules including modulation/demodulation, channel encoding/decoding, etc.
• Demonstrated experience in floating-point and fixed-point wireless communication physical layer simulation.
• Demonstrated experience in VLSI design, VHDL/Verilog, high end FPGA component, development tools like Vivado, Quartus, etc
• Knowledge of machine learning, Hand-on experience with MATLAB, Python
• Self-motivated, Eager to learn, self-driven and forward-thinking as well as very good team working skills, capability of independently studying literatures and publications.
• Collaborative mindset, fostering teamwork and communication while excelling in independent work environments.
• Capability to work 4 days per week and last for 4-6 months or more for internship.
