Job Description
As an intern for AI research engineer, the candidate will work on developing AI methods or solutions related to computer vision tasks for autonomous disassembly process. The candidate will focus on the following tasks:
• Understand the typical process and challenges for automated disassembly.
• Collect information on different types of defects and damages for automotive parts.
• Conduct comprehensive evaluation on collected data and derive systematic categorization.
• Develop advanced computer vision algorithm for object detection, segmentation and pose estimation using state-of-the-art methodologies.
• Explore potential solutions to handle unexpected defects.
• Integrate the algorithm into software and hardware platform.
• Closely collaborate and communicate with other team members.
Qualifications
• Able to work full time for a period of 6 months (i.e., August 2024 onwards)
• Undergraduate/graduate studies in related field AI/Machine Vision from Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science or Computer Engineering
• Advanced knowledge in Machine Learning, Deep Leaning, Computer Vision, Deep Learning framework like Tensorflow/Pytorch
• Good programming in Python, C++
• Independent learning and self-motivated
