We, the BMW Group, offer you an exciting internship in the area of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Computer Vision and Geometric Deep Learning, in the context of building intelligent tools and enhancing the current product engineering. AI and Visual Computing based tools have the potential to drastically increase efficiency in vehicle development.

What awaits you?

• Gain insights in developing new technologies for the virtual vehicle development at BMW.
• Support building proof of concept pipelines using deep neural networks and advanced visualizations.
• Develop novel methods using AI to optimize the product development.
• Engage in a young and motivated team at the BMW Research and Innovation Center (FIZ) in Munich.
• Research oriented work with the possibility of a follow-up master thesis.

What should you bring along?

• Studies of data science, computer science, engineering, physics or mathematics or similar.
• Strong programming skills in Python and deep learning frameworks like PyTorch.
• Theoretical knowledge about machine learning, deep learning and optimization.
• Experience with 3D data like point clouds or meshes is a plus.
• High degree of personal initiative and strong drive to innovate.
• Business fluent in English, German is a plus.
