We, the BMW Group, offer you an interesting and varied internship in the area of Artificial Intelligence, Generative AI and Visual Computing, in the context of building intelligent tools and enhancing the current product engineering. GenAI and Visual Computing based tools have the potential to drastically increase efficiency in vehicle development.

What awaits you?

• Gain insights in developing new technologies for the virtual vehicle development at BMW.
• Support building PoC pipelines with neural networks and LLMs, including data preparation, training and visualization.
• Investigage the potential of compliance-centered evaluation frameworks for GenAI models.

• Engage in a young and motivated team at the BMW Research and Innovation Center (FIZ) in Munich.
• Research oriented work with the possibility of a follow-up master thesis.

What should you bring along?

• Studies of data science, computer science, engineering, physics or mathematics or similar.
• Strong programming skills in Python and deep learning frameworks like PyTorch.
• Theoretical knowledge about machine learning, deep learning and optimization.
• Experience with 3D data and compliance is a plus.
• High degree of personal initiative and strong drive to innovate.
• Business fluent in English, German is a plus.
