[IBM Japan] AI Engineer Full-time

Your Role and Responsibilities
IBM is seeking talented individuals to join our team and help create innovative solutions for our clients. We are looking for people who can leverage cutting-edge technology, including AI and machine learning, to deliver valuable solutions to our clients across various industries, including finance, insurance, manufacturing, and logistics.

Key Responsibilities

* Collaborate with clients to identify and solve complex business challenges using AI and data analytics
* Work closely with multiple teams, including architects, designers, business technology leaders, and platform engineers, to design and implement innovative solutions
* Design and implement value-generating AI systems using various IBM technologies, including IBM Cloud and software
* Collaborate with other departments, such as research and expert labs, to lead proposal teams and deliver innovative solutions to clients
* Demonstrate the value of IBM’s AI platform, Watsonx, to clients through live demonstrations and proof-of-concepts JPJOBS24

At least one of the following requirements must
1. Industry Expertise

• Possess specialized knowledge in a specific industry (e.g. finance, insurance, manufacturing, logistics)
• Have experience in systems proposal and construction (e.g. as a consultant or in a business data science department)

2. AI Foundation Model Expertise

• Possess knowledge and expertise in building and deploying AI foundation models
• Ability to design, construct, and validate AI solutions for client business challenges
• Ability to conduct experiments and evaluate AI solutions using hands-on prototyping techniques

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience
1. Research and Publication Experience

• Significant research experience in top-tier scientific conferences and journals, focusing on foundation models and large-scale machine learning models
• Strong leadership experience in open-source communities, with a proven track record of contributions

2. Collaborative Team Experience

• Experience working as part of a team with multiple roles and organizations, tackling complex problems and delivering impactful solutions
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with others to achieve common goals

3. Project Management Experience

• Project management experience in system proposal and construction projects, with a focus on leading teams and delivering results
