Gen AI Engineer Full-time

Job Description

An experienced consulting professional who has an understanding of solutions, industry best practices, multiple business processes or technology designs within a product/technology family. Operates independently to provide quality work products to an engagement. Performs varied and complex duties and tasks that need independent judgment, in order to implement Oracle products and technology to meet customer needs. Applies Oracle methodology, company procedures, and leading practices.

Responsibilities:

1. Application Development: Design, build, and deploy innovative applications utilizing Gen AI technologies such as RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) based chatbots or agents. Develop scalable solutions that meet the requirements of critical business applications.

2. Language Model Expertise: Demonstrate proficiency in language models, NLP techniques, and related key concepts. Stay updated with the latest advancements in language modeling and incorporate them into application development processes.

3. Prompt Engineering: Utilize prompt engineering techniques to improve the accuracy and performance of language models. Develop strategies to optimize prompt design for specific applications and use cases.

4. Model Evaluation and Testing: Evaluate the performance of language models, understand relevant metrics, and test model outcomes rigorously. Develop automated testing frameworks to ensure the reliability and effectiveness of deployed models.

5. Deployment and Automation: Automate the testing and deployment processes of language models to production environments. Ensure smooth integration with existing systems and frameworks.

6. Cloud Infrastructure: Utilize Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) to build and deploy applications. Leverage OCI services to create scalable and reliable frameworks for language model-based applications.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

2. Strong proficiency in Python programming language.

3. In-depth knowledge of language models, NLP techniques, and key concepts.

4. Experience in building and designing applications using Gen AI technologies.

5. Proficiency in low-code application development platforms.

6. Familiarity with prompt engineering and other techniques to enhance language model accuracy.

7. Ability to evaluate models, understand metrics, and test model outcomes effectively.

8. Experience in automating testing and deployment processes.

9. Familiarity with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and ability to build frameworks using OCI services.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Previous experience in developing Gen AI Applications, RAG-based chatbots or agents.

2. Experience with other advanced language model frameworks such as GPT (Generative Pre-trained Transformer).

3. Familiarity with additional programming languages and technologies relevant to AI and machine learning.

• Familiarity with designing & deploying scalable digital web based applications.
• Experience in multi-touch attribution, market mix modelling, fraud analytics, customer journey analysis, churn modelling, customer segmentation, hypothesis testing, A/B testing, and recommendation engines.
• Experience in designing, implementing, testing, and shipping production-quality AI/ML software
• Experience with analytics, machine learning techniques, advanced analytics, and end-to-end pipelines using frameworks like Kubeflow.

Overall, the ideal candidate for the data scientist role at Oracle GSC should have a strong educational background, significant professional experience in data science and related fields, proficiency in relevant technical skills and tools, and key competencies in communication, problem-solving, and teamwork. – Demonstrated experience in deploying machine learning models and managing model lifecycles will be assessed through case studies and real-world scenarios.
