Expert in AI/NLP/ML Full-time

We currently have a vacancy for an Expert in AI/NLP/ML fluent in English, to offer his/her services as an expert who will be based in Brussels, Belgium. The work will be carried out either in the company’s premises or on site at customer premises. In the context of the first assignment, the successful candidate will be integrated in the Development team of the company that will closely cooperate with a major client’s IT team on site.

Your tasks

• Design and implementation of AI solutions in close collaboration with team management and AI technical lead;
• Propose or support adequate machine learning models and employ NLP techniques to extract valuable insights from large datasets;
• Support the development of generative AI solutions in knowledge management;
• Engage with colleagues from various teams, analyze business requirements and translate them into AI solutions.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in IT or relevant discipline, combined with minimum 17 years of relevant working experience in IT;
• Minimum 5 years’ of specific expertise in developing AI solutions, including machine learning and NLP;
• Minimum 3 years’ of specific expertise in cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization tools (e.g. Docker) for the deployment of AI and machine learning applications;
• Minimum 3 years’ of specific expertise in the command of Python and R proficiency with relevant libraries, including but not limited to NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, SpaCy, NLTK, PyTorch, TensorFlow, HuggingFace, dplyr, stringr, tidymodels, torch for R, ggplot;
• Minimum 2 years’ of specific expertise in version control systems (Git Hub) and ETL tools (e.g. dbt, Airflow);
• Minimum 2 years’ of specific expertise in Large Language Models (e.g. OpenAI, LLaMa and Mistal);
• Minimum 1 year of specific expertise in Semantic NLP techniques, including semantic representation, text splitting, analysis, similarity and parsing;
• Proven experience with Deep Learning models and NLP techniques;
• Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud);
• Experience with cleaning and preparing data for AI/ML models;
• Excellent knowledge of machine learning techniques and algorithms, such as k-NN, Naive Bayes, SVM, Decision Forests, Neural Network, and/or artificial intelligence frameworks;
• Technical proficiency regarding database design development, data models, techniques for data mining, and segmentation;
• Experience with Knowledge Graphs and SPARQL would be considered as an asset;
• Excellent command of the English language, along with a solid understanding of French.
