Engineering Manager, Multimodal AI Full-time

The Wearables AI organization is seeking an engineering manager to support the Wearables Multimodal AI team. Meta is focused on AI, glasses, and the future of social media. Engineering Manager, Multimodal AI Responsibilities

• Grow a team of Multimodal and Computer Vision experts within the Wearables Multimodal AI team
• Develop technical vision, long-term strategy and set direction for the team and the organization
• Drive execution of developing models and systems that are crucial to the end user experience
• Communicate, collaborate and build relationships with product and peer teams to facilitate cross-functional projects
• Remain up-to-date on ongoing software development activities in the team, help work through technical challenges and be involved in design decisions

Minimum Qualifications

• Experience and track record of landing large product impact in a fast-paced environment
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in large language models, NLP, Computer Vision, in both research and engineering settings
• 5+ years of experience recruiting, building, structuring, and leading technical organizations, including performance management
• 2+ years of experience in building decent sized organization and supporting managers
• Experience in developing large-scale AI systems
• Experience with cross-functional collaboration with product and platform teams, as well as non-engineering functions

Preferred Qualifications

• PhD in deep learning, artificial intelligence, computer vision and/ or a related technical field
• Experience and knowledge of ML frameworks like PyTorch, TensorFlow, etc
• Experience and knowledge of working with LLM frameworks, especially LLaMa and LLaVA
• Experience and knowledge of working with on-device AI systems, experience working on AI for autonomous vehicles or robotics a plus.

$213,000/year to $293,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
