Data & AI Technical Consultant Full-time

Your Role and Responsibilities
Technical Consultants in this job role will have expertise in managing and operation of IT hardware, software, communications, and/or application solutions, and the resources required to plan for, develop, deliver, and support properly engineered IT services and products to meet the needs of a business. Focus on Take-out projects, replacing competitor softwares to IBM Automation solutions.
The scope of this job role includes preparation for new or changed products, services, management of the change process, and professional standards, management of performance of systems and services in relation to their contribution to business performance.

• Environment: Professional knowledge related to incumbent’s function/business unit and its processes.
• Communication/Negotiation: Advise other professionals. Effectively use group dynamics. Negotiate to define approaches and goals.
• Problem Solving: Recognize complex problems related to functional objectives. Analyze situations and implement solutions, or develop new system elements, procedures, or processes. Creativity and judgment applied to developmental work on different projects within the business environment.
• Contribution/Leadership: Provides ongoing technical / operational guidance to lead professional work teams, conducts special projects, or manages department(s) (national or international). Understand department/ functional mission and vision. Defines and decides objectives within specified business concept or project and may have responsibility for tools and assigned resources. Utilizes expertise to directly influence people outside department or function.
• Impact on Business/Scope: Accountable for department results and activities and/or projects involving multi-functional teams. Regularly participates in overall functional program planning. Activities are subject to business measurements, impact customer satisfaction, and impact project costs or expenses.

You: You will need a strong knowledge of how to navigate through a sales process, consultative selling skills and ability to manage and focus in a complex and dynamic environment. You will communicate and build internal relationships with a diverse range of personnel including senior sales executives, product management, field marketing and sales engineering teams. You have experience leading, coaching and mentoring sales development teams. You can step into this role, grow the team and grow with the organization.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Knowledge of Datastage, Datastage Low Platform, CDC, DB2, DB2 Warehouse and DataGate tools
• Experience with on-premises and cloud architectures
• Knowledge of Openshift
• Proven experience in projects involving these products (CDC, Datastage, DB2, Data Gate)
• Knowledge in migrating from DB2 to Cloud

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

• Knowledge of IBM Cloud, Database, AI
