Work you’ll do:

This role is within Deloitte Southeast Asia’s AI and Data team and encompasses data, analytics, and cognitive automation. As a member of this group, you will drive the growth of our AI and Data business in the region and be responsible for designing and delivering next-generation data and AI/ML solutions.

The AI and Data team at Deloitte fosters a supportive and collaborative work environment that is second to none. We leverage data, analytics, robotics, data science, and cognitive technologies to uncover hidden relationships in vast troves of data, generate insights, and inform decision-making. Together with the Strategy practice, our Strategy and Analytics Portfolio helps clients transform their business by architecting organisational intelligence programs and differentiated strategies to win in their chosen markets.

We are looking for candidates with a strong track record in implementing one or more of the following competencies and enabling technologies:

1. Designing and implementing appropriate data structures to support Big Data, AI/ML models, and traditional BI/DW reporting solutions using relational and non-relational data management technologies such as IBM DB2/Netezza, Microsoft SQL Server/PDW, Oracle Exadata, SAP HANA, Oracle Exalytics, Teradata, Pivotal, Cloudera, Hortonworks, and IBM Big Insights.
2. Design and develop data integration (including batch/real-time, ETL/ELT) processes with various structured and unstructured data using tools such as Informatica, Talend, Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue, Google Big Query and Dataflow and Spark
3. Experienced in designing and implementing Big Data ecosystems, i.e., Hive, Hue, Spark, Flink, HDFS, Kafka, HBase etc.
4. Experienced in Data Warehouse capabilities: AWS Redshift, Google Big Query, Azure Synapse, Snowflake, and Databricks.
5. Delivered complex projects (technology implementation or transformation programs) project as a Data Engineer
6. Data engineering includes integrating, migrating, and synchronising data sources to curate data to enable data products.
7. Modelling large-scale, complex, real-time data requirements to consolidate data from various sources and deliver next-generation data products.

Requirements:

• A good honors Degree, preferably at the postgraduate level, in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics or related disciplines.
• Extensive experience in Big 4 or MNC Consulting firms or industry-related roles.
• Minimum of 4 years (Consultant), 6 years (Senior Consultant) relevant experience with solid experience in the sales cycle and leading project teams
• Strong experience directly interfacing with senior business and IT stakeholders for clients.
• Strong commitment to professional client service excellence.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment.
• You have a strong understanding of either structured and unstructured data mining, visualisation and analytics or Intelligent Automation
• Drive, tenacity, entrepreneurship, client-focused and results-oriented. You enjoy working methodically and with great attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal relations and demonstrated ability to work with others effectively in teams.
• Superior verbal and written communication skills, including a proven track record in developing and conducting interviews, focus groups and presentations.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to develop and present new ideas and conceptualise new approaches and solutions.
