Computer Vision Engineer Full-time

Ai movement, the International centre for Artificial Intelligence in Morocco, attached to UM6P, is a center of excellence in Artificial Intelligence, which aims to foster the emergence of Moroccan and African know-how in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science. It is UNESCO’s reference center for artificial intelligence in Africa. Ai movement’s goal is to develop a trustworthy, ethical, responsible and inclusive AI on the African continent.

Job Summary:

As a computer vision engineer, you will be in charge of designing, developing, deploying and maintaining computer vision applications to help our clients apply the power of artificial intelligence and machine learning in R&D projects. You will work on collaborative projects involving research engineers, industrial and academic researchers, post-docs and PhD students.

Responsibilities:

Your responsibilities will include:

1. Design, develop, test, deploy and maintain computer vision applications (real time object detection, image classification, image generation, facial recognition, etc.)
2. Collaborate with data scientists, machine learning engineers and researchers to develop innovative solutions for Ai Movement
3. Study and Analyse large datasets of images and videos to identify patterns and features
4. Enhance accuracy and efficiency of computer vision algorithms
5. Keep abreast of the latest advances the latest advancements in computer vision research (Large vision models (LVM), Vision language models (VLM), etc.).

Requirements:

1. A 5-year university degree or an engineering degree with more than 5 years’ experience in data science and machine learning.
2. Expertise in managing computer vision data (image, video, 3D) and deploying computer vision models (YOLOv10 for instance)
3. Solid knowledge of LVMs models (CLIP, LandingLens, ViT, etc. )
4. Knowledge of vision language model (GPT4 vision, Claude 3, LlaVa, Deepseek, CogVLM, etc.)
5. Rigour, independence, organisation and good writing skills
6. Sense of public interest, strong analytical and summarising skills
7. Ability to participate in several projects as required
8. Ability to work as part of a team, good interpersonal skills and excellent oral and written communication skills (in French and English)
