Coding Expertise for AI Training Remote – India Non US Full-time

Outlier helps the world’s most innovative companies improve their AI models by providing human feedback. Are you an experienced software engineer who would like to lend your coding expertise to train AI models? Join our team in training AI models to excel at coding generation!

We partner with organizations to train AI large language models, helping cutting-edge generative AI models write better code. Projects typically include discrete, highly variable problems that involve engaging with these models as they learn to code. There is no requirement for previous AI experience.

About the opportunity:

Outlier is looking for talented coders to help train generative artificial intelligence models.

This freelance opportunity is remote and hours are flexible, so you can work whenever is best for you. The general expectation is 40 hours per week availability.

You may contribute your expertise by…

Crafting and answering computer science questions in order to help train AI models

Evaluating and ranking code generated by AI models

Ideally you’d have:

Industry experience (0-2 years) in coding work

An undergraduate degree in computer science, engineering, systems, or a related field from a top university (i.e. Indian Institutes of Technology).

Strong attention to detail.

Proficiency in working with one or more of the following programming languages: Java, Swift, Python, JavaScript / TypeScript, C++, and/or Kotlin.

An action-oriented mindset that balances creative problem solving with the scrappiness to ultimately deliver results

Ability to articulate complex concepts fluently in written and spoken English.

Analytical, planning, and process improvement capability.

Reside in any of these cities: Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Mumbai, or Pune.

Payment:

Currently, pay rates for core projects in India average from USD $13.75 per hour to USD $27.5 per hour, approximately.

Rates vary based on expertise, skills assessment, location, project need, and other factors. For example, higher rates may be offered to PhDs. For non-core work, such as during initial project onboarding or project overtime phases, lower rates may apply. Certain projects offer incentive payments. Please review the payment terms for each project.
