Position: Bell Labs AI and Robotics Co-op

The team you’ll be part of

As an AI and Robotics Co-op student at Nokia Bell Labs, you will be a part of the Statistics and Data Science Research Group, working on AI and Robotics projects with real robots in an exciting environment. This hands-on role will give you the opportunity to gain valuable skills and experience in a dynamic team. You will play a crucial role in advancing the state-of-the-art in AI/ML and robotics technologies. You will have the opportunity to build and prototype systems to demonstrate research innovations and publish research in premier conferences and journals.

EDUCATIONAL RECOMMENDATIONS

Currently a candidate for a PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Statistics., or a related field with an accredited school in the US.

Responsibilities

As a part of our team, you will:

• Research and develop technologies at the intersection of AI and robotics research
• Build and prototype systems to demonstrate research innovations
• Propose, investigate, and publish research in premier conferences and journals

Qualifications

• Knowledge and proficiency of Robot Operating System (ROS)
• Experience with AI/ML (large language models, computer vision, …)
• Strong algorithmic problem-solving and software skills (Python)
• Demonstrated capability to develop proof-of-concept prototypes

It would be nice if you also had:

• Experience with robot simulator environments such as IsaacSim, MuJoco, or others.
• Experience with NerfStudio
