Automation & Robotic Repair Development Technical Leader Full-time

Job Description Summary
The Technical Leader for Automation & Robotic will be responsible for the technical leadership of a global team of automation and robotic engineers and specialists to execute projects supporting GEV Gas Power organizations. The technical leader will be responsible for developing sound strategic plans to improve safety, quality, cycle, and cost to meet our obligations in customer fulfilment, Tx, and NPI execution. This person will lead project management of the key automation projects and supporting AMRT repair technology development in the aspect of automation and robotics to drive the industrialization as a global technology in the repair network.
The focus of this role is to lead projects that identify, develop, industrialize and globalize robotic and automation initiatives for the services network. This role has the ability to effect short-term and long-term business goals.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

• Lead the global industrialization of automation and robotic initiatives supporting multiple Supply Chain Value Stream globally.
• Lead the development of automation and robotic initiatives supporting the services network
• Provide technical guidance for engineers and specialists in the execution of design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements
• Recommend approaches to meet the technical and program requirements
• Formulate strategy and implement plans to achieve business goals and directives.
• Develop action plans to anticipate and respond to problems
• Provide technical leadership to other personnel; mentor others in the organization
• Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures
• Monitor and communicate project status, business issues, and significant developments
• Lead or participate in organizational efforts in assigned projects and/or tasks

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or any relevant discipline from an accredited college or university
• Minimum of 10 additional years of design, manufacturing experience, or product application experience
• Willingness and ability to travel minimum 10%, as required
• Good knowledge and experience in various industrial robot and Cobot programming language.
• Basic experience with CAD software.
• Preferably process knowledge in one or more disciplines – Thermal spray coating, welding, surface finishing, sealing, machining, etc…
• Able to demonstrate leadership in project management and hands on trials
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a global team environment
• Good communication and documentation skills
