Red Hat’s Open Source Program Office is looking for a highly motivated and hands-on individual to staff community development for our involvement in AI and machine learning communities. We are looking for a person who has some community-building experience or shows great aptitude therein, familiarity with open source projects, and the ability to quickly learn how to align business and customer needs with open source community efforts. The right candidate will show aptitude for developing open source business strategies with guidance from senior leaders and gathering metrics to evaluate success. You’ll engage with both the users of and the developers of open source projects, advocating for the needs of the community while serving as a public face for the projects. With strong guidance from experienced members of your immediate team and your manager, you will work with members of the Open Source Program Office, engineering, the legal team, and other stakeholders across Red Hat as well as in multiple open source software communities.
This position requires some international travel. This position is available in our Waterford, Ireland engineering center. Regardless of where you are based, your primary stakeholders are located in Europe and the United States East Coast. Your working hours will require sufficient overlap with the Eastern Time Zone (UTC-5) and Central European Time (UTC+1).
