As a Software Development and AI Product Owner, you will provide support and thought leadership to R&D performer teams, Government Program Managers, and stakeholders across the health innovation ecosystem. This role supports the Office of Information Technology and Data Innovation (ITDI).

What you will do:

Act as Strategic Product Leadership:

• Lead the development of and evolution of AI-driven software products by defining and refining product vision, strategy, and roadmaps in alignment with ARPA-H organizational goals.
• Translate complex customer need into actionable product strategies through the identification of personas and requirements, and the prioritization of epics, user stories, and tasks.
• Facilitate collaboration between cross-functional teams and stakeholders to gather feedback and foster product iteration.

Manage the Product Lifecycle:

• Utilize your deep knowledge of Product Ownership in an Agile environment to define product vision, roadmap, and specifications for operational tools, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and user needs.
• Take ownership of the product lifecycle for AI-driven solutions, from ideation/conceptualization through development, deployment, and iteration.
• Advise stakeholders on program scheduling and conduct regular product assurance reviews to evaluate progress, identify risks, and propose mitigation strategies.
• Manage collaborative platforms (SharePoint) to optimize workflow and effective documentation procedures.

Stay current with scientific advancements:

• Actively track and analyze new research findings in this field.
• Identify and propose emerging methodologies and technologies that could enhance the program’s progress.
• Participate in scientific discussions and presentations, contributing your expertise to the program’s overall knowledge base.

Collaborate effectively within a diverse team:

• Build strong relationships with computational scientists, engineers, and other scientific advisors involved in the program.
• Communicate complex scientific concepts clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Actively participate in brainstorming sessions and problem-solving exercises to drive the program forward.

Salary Range: $100,000 – $180,000

• 10 years minimum AI and software development experience
• Demonstrated ability to conduct independent research, analyze data, and write scientific reports.
