Applied AI Engineering Lead, Core Enterprise, Core Full-time

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C , Java, JavaScript).
• 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role; overseeing projects, with 2 years of experience in a people management, supervision/team leadership role.
• Experience in working with Machine Learning, including modelling, training and evaluating models.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• Experience with Large Language Model (LLM).

CorpEng Machine Learning team is responsible for applying Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning techniques to Google’s own enterprise tests in the most responsible manner. The team works with research as well as enterprise teams to identify opportunities for Artificial Intelligence incorporation and application.

The Core team builds the technical foundation behind Google’s flagship products. We are owners and advocates for the underlying design elements, developer platforms, product components, and infrastructure at Google. Responsibilities

• Guide and manage applied AI engineering team.
• Partner with product management and other engineering teams to develop the team’s roadmap and execute on deliverables.
• Direct global and regional AI initiatives in service of mission business problems in various Google Enterprise domains such as Legal, People Operations, Finance, etc.
