Description and Requirements

Lenovo is the fastest growing workstation manufacturer on the planet and is at the forefront of mobile & desktop computing innovation, leveraging AI to drive smarter products and solutions for our customers. We are seeking a talented and motivated AI Software Engineer Intern to join our dynamic solutions engineering team. You will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects, collaborate with top engineers and gain hands-on experience in AI development and the growing world of computer workstations. This role is based in Morrisville, NC and will require onsite presence.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with software engineers and data scientists to design, develop, and deploy AI models and applications.
• Implement smart new AI enhanced configuration tools
• Optimize and fine-tune AI models for performance and scalability.
• Assist in the collection, cleaning, and preprocessing of data for training and testing.
• Write and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code in languages such as Python, Java, or C++.
• Participate in code reviews, brainstorming sessions, and project discussions.
• Conduct research on the latest AI trends and technologies to support ongoing projects.

Basic Requirements:

• Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
• Strong programming skills in Python (or similar programming languages) with experience in machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).
• Knowledge of core AI concepts, such as neural networks, computer vision, NLP, or deep learning.
• Understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles.
• Ability to work onsite in Morrisville, NC.

Preferred Requirements:

• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and meet project deadlines.
