AI Software Engineer

We are seeking a highly technical and versatile Software Engineer with a track record of building highly adopted AI powered applications. This person will develop AI powered products and services aligned to our core business in Corporate Technology. This person will be responsible for engineering key products which leverage AI to solve novel challenges across Corporate Technology’s multifaceted businesses. This person will have a deep understanding of AI and is capable of navigating a rapidly shifting and complex technical landscape across AI while still delivering. Responsibilities

• Engage with our business stakeholders with a focus on successful outcomes
• Build comprehensive AI applications which solve complex problems for Corporate Technology
• Develop both back-end and front-end services across distributed architectures
• Demonstrate a deep understanding of AI models, and Retrieval Augmented Generation
• Participate in our on-call rotation for our services

Required Skills and Experience

• Strong experience developing restful API (Python or Java preferred)
• Strong experience in front-end frameworks (Angular or React preferred)
• Solid experience with implementing embeddings in Vector Databases and RAG
• Proficient in developing with vendor LLM APIs
• Solid understanding of UX best practices in UI design
• Proficient in sophisticated GitOps workflows and a strong Agile practitioner
• Familiarity with linux and container runtime environments like Kubernetes.
• Actively practices test driven development with a focus on software quality
• Experienced with instrumenting observability into their applications
• A self-starter who demonstrates strong ownership and sense of urgency
• Analytical mindset who takes a data driven approach to troubleshooting
• Highly collaborative and works well across teams

Desired Skills and Experience

• Demonstrable experience developing AI applications with a high degree of trust and accuracy
• Track record of driving platform adoption with users
• Constantly evaluates the AI landscape to implement the latest techniques in AI application development
