AI Security Engineer Full-time

We are in search of a highly skilled Security Engineer to fortify Zoom’s security infrastructure within the rapidly evolving realm of artificial intelligence. This role is pivotal within our Engineering Security Team and demands close collaboration with our esteemed AI Engineering Team. As the AI Security Engineer, you will play a critical role in bolstering our security posture in AI by conducting meticulous security assessments, offering strategic counsel, and spearheading automation initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Conduct exhaustive security evaluations on AI features, models, and datasets utilizing advanced techniques such as threat modeling, code analysis, and penetration testing.
• Identify and mitigate potential vulnerabilities, loopholes, and threats to ensure the robustness and integrity of our AI systems.
• Provide expert guidance and actionable recommendations to enhance the security resilience of our AI infrastructure.
• Collaborate closely with AI engineers and stakeholders to implement effective security controls, protocols, and best practices tailored to the unique requirements of AI applications.
• Drive initiatives to automate and standardize our security review processes for AI systems.
• Develop innovative tools, scripts, and workflows to streamline security assessments, accelerate response times, and enhance overall efficiency.
• Continuously evaluate and integrate cutting-edge technologies and methodologies to stay ahead of emerging threats and vulnerabilities.
• Work closely with privacy, legal, and DevOps teams to ensure comprehensive review and compliance, making sure security considerations are embedded throughout the development lifecycle.
• Contribute to the improvement of our current training program within the AI domain. Develop and deliver educational materials, workshops, and hands-on exercises

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance/Security, Cyber Security, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 4+ years of hands-on experience in security roles, with a proven track record of successfully securing complex IT environments. Demonstrated expertise in conducting security assessments, risk analysis, and remediation across diverse technology stacks.

• Solid understanding of artificial intelligence and machine learning concepts, algorithms, and frameworks. Proficiency in assessing security risks associated with AI/ML applications, including data privacy, model robustness, and adversarial attacks.
• Programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, C++ with a focus on security-oriented development practices. Experience with security tools and frameworks such as OWASP, NIST is advantageous.
• Analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. A proactive mindset, with a passion for staying abreast of the latest security trends, threats, and technologies.
