AI Research Scientist Full-time

As an AI Research Scientist, you will work with senior research scientists and managers to perform research and development of AI technologies such as large language models and generative AI. Candidates are also expected to work with R&D teams to customize and apply developed technologies to problems of interest to customers.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Masters or Ph.D. in CS or related fields, with one or more years of experience working with large language models (LLMs), transformer models, and/or generative AI (GenAI).
• High level of experience and ability to program in Python and/or C.
• Hands-on development experience in prompt engineering and tool calling of OpenAI GPT models.
• Experience with modern software development practices and toolsets (Git, CI/CD toolchains).

Additional desired skills:

• Familiarity with Machine Learning libraries, such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.
• Comfortable working within a Linux environment and familiar with Bash scripting.
• Experience with Agentic AI.
• Experience with other major Large Language Models, such as those from Claude, DeepSeek, Llama, and other open source LLMs and large reasoning models such as OpenAI o1, o3-mini, deepseek-r1, etc.
• End-to-end machine learning model development experience.
• Experience with Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.
• Cloud services experience (AWS, Azure).

Minimum Clearance Requirements:

• No clearance is required at hiring; US Citizenship with ability to obtain a clearance is required.

Target Salary Range

$80,000 – $128,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
