AI/ML Solutions Architect Lead – SVP Full-time

Global Risk and Controls Technology (GRCT) within Global Functions Technology(GFT) supports global functions partners such as Enterprise Risk Management (ERM), Independent Compliance Risk Management (ICRM), Retail Credit Risk, Operational Risk, and Model Risk. Enterprise Risk Management covers Risk Identification, Risk Measurement, Appetite and Limits, Risk Analytics, New Activity Risk Management, Risk Framework and Policy, and Enterprise Risk Management Governance.

The ideal candidate will have experience in developing architecture vision, strategy, and end to end solutions for complex business problems. The role will have a regional and global focus in the GRCT space and requires the individual to work across a variety of stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Provide vision for relevant technology systems, including those that support enterprise risk management and independent compliance applications, ensuring that architecture conforms to enterprise blueprints.
• Develops architecture, strategy, planning, and problem-solving solutions on an enterprise level.
• Interfaces across several channels, acting as a visionary to proactively assist in defining direction for future projects.
• Maintains continuous awareness of business, technical, and infrastructure issues and acts as a sounding board or consultant to aid in the development of creative solutions.
• Depending on project scope, may be accountable for end-to-end results including such items as: budgeting, policy formulation as well as providing future state technology strategies for an effort.
• Interfaces with vendors to assess their technology and to guide their product roadmap based on Citi requirements.
• Exhibits in-depth knowledge of how own specialism contributes to the business and has a good understanding of the commercial environment.
• Provides thought leadership in subjects that are key to the business.
• Requires sophisticated analytical thought to resolve issues in a variety of complex situations.
• Impacts the technology function through contribution to technical direction and strategic decisions.
• Uses developed communication skills to negotiate and often at higher levels.

Qualifications:

• 10+ year’s senior technology leadership experience in an engineering and/or architecture capacity.
• At least 5 years of in a Solutions Architecture role in a large enterprise environment.
• Banking/Financial/Payment particularly in risk and control experience is a plus.
• Expertise in developing architecture vision and strategic solutions.
• Experience with modernizing and migrating applications to strategic architectures.
• Expertise in building solutions with domain driven design (DDD), API, microservices, event-driven architecture and cloud native principles
• Expertise in modern languages (e.g., Java, C#), messaging, integration, and data streaming technologies (e, g, Kafka, MQ etc..), caching & database (RDBMS and NoSQL) tools, application development framework (e.g., Spring boot, .NET), well architected framework, data integration solutions, software architecture patterns, and tools
• Expertise in application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines

• Familiarity with software engineering best-practices such as version control, testing, code reviews.
• Understanding of advanced calculations and statistical functions.
• A solid understanding of SQL, relational database management system, artificial intelligence, machine learning, data modeling, and normalization

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, systems engineering (or equivalent experience).
