AI/ML Lead Technical Program Manager Full-time

We are seeking a dynamic Lead Technical Program Manager to drive advanced AI/ML initiatives within Aptiv’s engineering teams. This role will strengthen the cooperation between our Aptiv platform team and AI/ML algorithm teams, ensuring the seamless execution of cutting-edge technology in automotive solutions. You will lead the program to develop and integrate AI/ML algorithms while ensuring alignment with business goals and technical feasibility. In this individual contributor role (with potential to lead a small team), you will be instrumental in shaping the future of automotive intelligence.

Your role:

• Own and Deliver: Drive end-to-end delivery of AI/ML products, ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely execution.
• Technical Roadmap: Translate use cases into epics, stories, and tasks. Build a detailed roadmap with clear timelines, identifying technical dependencies, and balancing competing engineering priorities.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Act as the primary liaison between Aptiv’s platform team and AI/ML algorithm teams to ensure alignment on project goals and execution strategies.
• Resource Management: Collaborate with product managers and engineering leads to ensure the right staffing and skill allocation for product teams.
• Clear the Path: Identify and remove blockers that could hinder the engineering team’s productivity, ensuring smooth, on-time delivery.
• External Collaboration: Oversee and manage external partnerships, ensuring their outputs align with internal goals and timelines.
• Talent Recruitment: Assist in attracting, hiring, and onboarding top talent for AI/ML teams to meet evolving project demands.
• Compliance: Ensure adherence to applicable engineering and competency design guidelines, especially for platform-specific designs.
• Financial Oversight: Manage project

Your background:

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s or MSc in Engineering or related field (Preferred).
• Project Management Experience: Proven track record in leading large, cross-functional teams with the ability to drive results (Preferred).
• AI/ML Expertise: Strong understanding of AI/ML algorithms and their applications, with the ability to translate technical concepts into actionable project plans (Preferred).
• Automotive Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with automotive technologies, industry trends, and vehicle systems (Preferred).
• Methodical Problem Solver: Strong analytical skills with a methodical approach to problem-solving and decision-making (Required).
• Team Player: Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills with a demonstrated ability to work in team-oriented environments (Required).
• Commitment to Excellence: Strong drive to execute projects and continuously seek improvements (Required).
• Prior Leadership: Experience in coordinating between multiple teams, managing budgets, and capital planning (Preferred).
