Job Responsibilities:

The Senior AI/ML Engineer role is responsible for the discovery, design, development and implementation of machine learning solutions to serve our organization. This includes ownership or oversight of projects from conception to deployment with appropriate AWS services, Docker, MLFlow, and other tools. The role also includes responsibility for establishing best practices with which to optimize and measure the performance of our models and algorithms against business goals.
The Senior AI/ML Engineer provides guidance and support to all members of the ML team.
MAIN TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

The following is a non-exhaustive list of responsibilities and areas of ownership of a Senior AI/ML Engineer

• Lead the design and development of sophisticated machine learning models and algorithms tailored for various aspects of localization and business workflow processes, including machine translation, LLM fine-tuning, and quality assurance.
• Propose and implement innovative solutions and strategies to address complex business challenges, leveraging advanced machine learning techniques.
• Take full ownership of projects from definition to delivery, ensuring that they meet technical requirements and maintain momentum and direction until delivery.
• Evaluate, select, and implement the most effective machine-learning techniques and algorithms.
• Keep abreast of developments in the field, with a dedication to learning in the role
• Ensure thorough documentation and clear communication throughout the ML experimentation, design, and deployment processes.
• Design end-to-end solutions to complex machine learning problems, ensuring seamless integration with larger systems.
• Effectively communicate with stakeholders, presenting findings and strategic recommendations in a clear and actionable manner.
• Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a culture of learning and technical excellence within the team.

REQUIREMENTS

Education

• BSc in Computer Science, Mathematics or similar field; Master’s degree is a plus

Experience

• Minimum 5+ years experience as a Machine Learning Engineer or similar role

Skills & Knowledge

• Deep expertise in Python and a strong command of machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Scikit-learn.
• Extensive knowledge of machine learning techniques and algorithms, such as supervised and unsupervised learning, deep learning, and reinforcement learning.
• Strong background and proven experience in natural language processing (NLP)
• Demonstrated ability to take full ownership of projects from conception to deployment, while mentoring more junior team members
• Experience with data visualization tools like matplotlib, bokeh, d3.js
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Analytical mind and business acumen, ability to align technical efforts with business goals
• Experience taking ownership of projects from conception to deployment, and mentoring more junior team members
