THE ROLE:

AMD is looking for a software engineer who can contribute to the developer and production environments of our in-development inference engine. Our inference engine will make it easy for our customers to consume high performance AI models on top of AMD’s hardware. You will be an early member of the team and will be expected to contribute to many parts of the stack.

THE PERSON:

The ideal candidate should be passionate about software engineering and possess leadership skills to independently deliver on mult-quarter projects. They should be able to communicate effectively and work optimally with their peers within our larger organization. Finally, you aren’t afraid of a team in more of a startup mode at a larger company and willing to jump in to help in areas adjacent to your main project as needed.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Contribute to major components of our CI/CD infrastructure
• Contribute to major components of our overall distributed serving product.
• Collaborate with open-source developers to guide the ecosystem in adjacent projects.
• Design and develop new groundbreaking AMD technologies

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

• Veteran software Engineer
• Ability to write high quality code with a keen attention to detail
• Experience in one category called out under preferred experience.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

At least two of the below would be perfect

• Object-oriented programming background in languages such as Python. Many of our scripts are in Python though other languages that are Kubernetes friendly like Go would be a huge plus
• Experience with major Cloud Providers such as AWS, Azure, OCI, OpenShift, or GCP
• Experience or at least interest in developing in Open Source
• Experience with IaC such as Terrafom

At AMD, your base pay is one part of your total rewards package. Your base pay will depend on where your skills, qualifications, experience, and location fit into the hiring range for the position.
