AI Ethics Officer Full-time

Responsibilities

Develop, review, and refine policies for responsible AI development and deployment.
Work with government agencies, NGOs, and other stakeholders to advocate for responsible AI practices in regulatory frameworks.
Stay updated on national and international AI regulations, ethics, and compliance issues.
Provide expertise on AI ethics, bias mitigation, and fairness in AI systems.
Collaborate with AI product and development teams to integrate ethical considerations throughout the AI lifecycle (design, development, deployment).
Serve as the point of contact for external stakeholders, including policymakers, advocacy groups, and regulatory bodies, on AI-related issues.
Participate in public policy debates, conferences, and workshops on responsible AI governance.
Build partnerships with universities, research institutions, and thought leaders to promote best practices in AI.
Lead educational sessions for internal teams on AI ethics, bias, accountability, and transparency.

Technical and Professional Requirements:

Develop and distribute internal communications on new regulatory requirements and ethical best practices in AI.
Ensure the organization’s compliance with AI regulations, standards, and best practices.
Implement processes for regular audits and assessments of AI systems for fairness, accountability, and transparency.
Report on AI-related risks and ensure mitigation strategies are in place.
