Job Title: AI Engineering Intern

Location: Dublin, (this is a hybrid role, 3 days at the office + 2 days work from home model.)

Role Type: Internship, 3 months with the opportunity for a permanent role.

Summary:

We are recruiting for an opportunity for an AI Engineering Intern to join us at Honeywell, in Dublin, where you will work with and learn from experienced data scientists and ai/ml engineers who have decades of expertise in using ai/ml in automation and controls and our leaders in the evolving digital world of AI.

This role is part of our University Relations program, designed to help students and recent graduates launch their careers with hands-on experience, mentorship, and opportunities for growth within Honeywell. This internship is set up for 3 months, starting from late May / early June 2025 with the opportunity to progress into a permanent role.

Key responsibilities:

As an intern you will have the opportunity to work in the Dublin R&D Hub. We ensure a wholesome learning experience over the summer by training you in the software and ai/ml engineering capabilities that are in the Honeywell Forge platform.

Honeywell Forge uses AI/ML to enhance process and asset performance through advanced controllers, sensors and actuators that optimize our customer’s operations in real-time. It monitors production quality and predicts maintenance needs, ensuring efficiency, reliability and improved business outcomes.
• You will be working in an international team with experienced software developers, ai/ml engineers, data scientists and data engineers
• You will work on ai and ml research projects using scientific methodologies and documenting progress and results
• You will create innovative solutions that make a difference for our customers, clients, and employees

Key skills and qualifications:

Are you interested in Machine Learning, AI or Data Science? Are you looking for an opportunity to develop and grow, in a modern corporate company?
• A student or recent graduate, (2021 graduate onwards), of a masters degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or Data Science/Analytics, with a specialisation in AI / Machine Learning
• Good written and spoken English
• Passion for using, developing, investigating, and learning about modern technologies
• A good knowledge of Python
• Completed modules and implemented projects in some of the following: Machine Learning and Deep Learning, Computer Vision, Time Series analytics, Natural Language Processing, Generative AI
