The Network and Edge group (NEX) at Intel delivers the computing and networking platforms for Telco, Enterprise and Cloud market segments.

Intel’s Network and Edge Group (NEX) is seeking hands on Technologist to contribute towards AI systems architecture. In this dynamic role you will:

• Develop AI system architecture.
• Translate key challenges / use cases into required software components.
• Build blocks needed to design, develop, implement AI pipelines.
• Develop AI Agents specifically targeted for Telecommunications (5G/6G Core, RAN), Enterprise Networking domain, leveraging technologies such as machine learning, deep learning / neural network with Continuous/Reinforcement learning, policy learning.
• Collaborates with teams within and outside of Intel, conducts analysis and design/architectural recommendations to ensure resiliency/reliability of AI Infrastructure for implementation that achieves performance, features, cost, power constraints.

Areas of work focus include:

• Fine-tuning, alignment of LLMs, tailoring LLMs for domain specific requirements / deployments.
• Continuous / Reinforcement learning to enable ML algorithms and LLMs to adapt / learn from ongoing operations and human interactions.
• Optimizing computational efficiency of LLMs and AI application pipelines for cost-effective deployments.
• Implementation, debugging and optimizations of AI pipelines end-to-end

Qualifications:

Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

What we need to see (Minimum Qualifications):

• Bachelors with 5+ years’ experience, or Masters with 3+ years’ experience, or PhD with 1+ years’ experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or relevant Engineering discipline.
• 2+ years’ of hand-on experience with AI techniques such as machine learning algorithms, multi-modal language models, RAG flows, AI pipelines, model tuning / re-training, Continuous / Reinforcement learning.
• 5+ years’ experience with programming languages and tools such as Python, C, C++, TensorFlow, AI frameworks (e.g., langchain), distributed computing, familiarity with AI compilers or similar.
• 5+ years’ experience with Linux programming skills to analyze / debug / optimize AI pipelines end-to-end.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Mathematics, preferably linear algebra, matrix-vector operations and underlying technologies that form the basis of neural networks.
• Familiarity with Telecommunications Technologies such as 5G-Core, 5G-RAN.
• Strong self-learning and technical communication skills.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in the US:

$188,700.00-$266,400.00

Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience.
